Ladies:

Today I received an email that two of our other models have received. I am including the e-mail to educate you about the types of fraud in the modeling industry along with protecting your identity. As you know protecting the Lubbock Models Team is my top priority and I want everyone to be aware that there are people out there that will try to take advantage of you. This particular modeling scam promises you payment for a modeling job. Once you reply indicating that you are interested they then have your physical address along with other personal information. They will forward you a check in hopes that you will forward the money at their request before you attempt to cash their check. The check they send you is totally bogus and completely fake. DO NOT DO THIS! The two models that have received this email were very smart and checked to see if the checks were any good and of course they were counterfeit.

Remember, if it sounds to good to be true it usually is. I have been in this business for a very long time. Should you have any questions about these types of emails or another photographer please ASK ME.

When reading the email you will be able to tell that whomever composed it is from another country as their writing style is pathetic. This is a tale tale sign that the job is nothing more than a scam. Also check out the numerous errors in the writing and spelling.

   The shooting will hold at a rented photographers studio in your
location,so you don't have to worry about traveling,the name and
address of the studio will be forwarded to you a week before the date

shooting,your mum,dad,friend,body-guard anybody you wish to come with
just for you to feel more comfortable.I want to let you know that the
Job is Urgent and the shooting will come up probably in the  next few
weeks,it all depend on the studio agent so you have  much time to prepare

with an extra amount that will be used for the studio fee (all you will need
to do here is just to deduct your own part-payment from the fund sent
to you which is the 550$
and have the extra sent over to the studio's agent for the preparation
of the next level of the project and studio rental fee on our behalf before
you will be called for the shooting)we will  Immediately mail out the check to
you via our courier service, i will instruct you on what else to do... We
will be paid the balance of your payment,immediately before you will go for
the next stage of the shooting,I hope this is quite clear. Please I'd like

details about the job, payments would be mailed out to you as soon as
necessary procedure is carried out in some few days by the financial officer
using a priority shipment  so that every thing work for the job.you
